Eastridge Workforce Solutions is hiring a Jr Buyerfor a medical technology company that specializes in ophthalmology. M-F, 8 am to 5 pm. For immediate consideration, apply today.

Job Description/Duties:

  • Maintains a working knowledge and specific ERP/MRP system in the areas of material management and purchasing.
  • Updates planning & purchasing parameters to ensure accurate information, including item master, supplier delivery dates, etc.
  • Works with Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Engineering to coordinate & complete Engineering Change Orders (ECO), as needed.
  • Works with suppliers to ensure material is delivered on time per schedule, reduces lead times, negotiates prices, and meets specifications and quality requirements.
  • Supports Supplier Development to review and update data for supplier report cards metrics and supplier performance monitoring.
  • Collaborates with internal customers to ensure purchasing requirements are understood as well as purchase requisitions.
  • Collaborating with Accounts Payable and supplier(s) to resolve invoice and receiving discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years past experience as a Buyer in a line environment, i.e., Medical, F&B, Pharma.
  • ERP/MRP experience required.
  • Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system.
  • QAD ERP, or ERP system experience is highly desirable.
  • Training to be completed per the training plan for this position as maintained in the document control system
  • The training requirements on TRN-10007 Insider Trading Policy, TRN-10008 Global Anti-Bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy, and TRN-10009 Code of Business Conducts and Ethics must be diligently completed within 30 days from the hiring date and on an annual basis.
  • Past experience and/or training with APICS CPIM Supply Chain Management Certifications / Classes.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Negotiation and analytical skills
  • Sense of urgency, flexibility, and ability to multi-task.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to write routine reports, procedures, and correspondences, and to speak effectively before groups of customers, suppliers, and employees of organization.
