The Job: Billing Specialist

Salary $26.00/hr DOE


Job Description

A one of a kind insurance provider is searching for a Billing Specialist who will have core responsibilities in maintaining an in-house billing system based in MS Access. This is a cyclical position, and previous insurance related experience is very helpful in getting acclimated into this business. A small business mindset is ideal in this role

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update the in-house billing system using MS Access, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Process client invoices, payments, and account adjustments in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with our tight-knit team to ensure accurate billing information and contract details.
  • Review and reconcile account discrepancies, communicating effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Generate and analyze billing reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Assist in the implementation of new billing processes and system upgrades as needed.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry regulations and compliance standards related to billing practices.
  • Other duties as required.


Requirements:

  • Experience using MS Access
  • Billing and Data reconciliation experience extreme detail orientation is a must
  • Previous small business and insurance experience
  • Type 30+ words per minute
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize projects.
