BOWDEN LAW is seeking a self-motivated, experienced criminal defense attorney to join our well-established team. We manage primarily non-felony criminal cases and traffic infractions in or near Pierce County. We are looking to continue our growth by adding the right resources to our team. Our practice focuses on defending civil traffic tickets and driving-related misdemeanors (mainly /DUIs), and our office is in Lakewood, Washington. While our traffic ticket defense practice covers Western Washington, most of our misdemeanor defense work is only in the greater Puget Sound area (Pierce, King, and Thurston Counties).


This is the perfect opportunity for someone wanting to be a top-performing criminal defense attorney without worrying about the business side of practicing law. We don’t need you to make the sale. We seek someone who thrives on making clients feel confident in their decision to hire our firm and passionately works on providing those clients with the best representation to resolve their cases.


Full-time, in-person, Mid-level Experience required.

Compensation:

$100,000+ DOE yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Represent clients in various ways within the criminal defense space, for example, but not limited to misdemeanor criminal defense cases, contested hearings for traffic tickets, and DOL hearings regarding license suspensions
  • Perform legal research and prepare memos, motions, pleadings, etc
Qualifications:
  • Former/current Prosecutors and Public Defenders are strongly
  • Encouraged to apply – strict confidentiality will be maintained
  • Familiarity with criminal court procedures and rules of evidence
  • Must have Mid-Level experience handling misdemeanor criminal cases, such as DUIs and other non-felony cases


EDUCATION / CERTIFICATOINS:

  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Washington State
  • Must be in good standing with the state bar association
