Job Description:

The Director of Education is a pivotal role responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing all educational initiatives for our preschool. You will collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to create a dynamic, child-centered curriculum that fosters emotional, intellectual, and physical growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate the preschools curriculum in alignment with state guidelines and best practices in early childhood education.
  • Support and mentor teachers, providing professional development and guidance to ensure high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Oversee student assessments and progress reports, ensuring that childrens developmental milestones are tracked and addressed appropriately.
  • Cultivate a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes active learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents to provide updates on student progress and to engage them in the learning process.
  • Ensure compliance with all state and local childcare licensing requirements and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the administrative team on student admissions, enrollment strategies, and staff recruitment.
  • Help plan and implement school engagement events throughout the school year.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of teaching or leadership experience in early childhood education, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and early learning curriculum standards.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, make data-driven decisions, and maintain a positive work culture.
Preferred Qualifications:

  • Director-level certification or credential in early childhood education.
  • Experience in managing a diverse team of educators.
  • Familiarity with Reggio Emilia, Montessori, or other early learning methodologies.
