Startup and Commissioning Specialist

Position Purpose

The primary purpose of the position is to support field water treatment professionals in commissioning and troubleshooting Evapco’s Water Systems. The position collaborates closely with other members of the team, manufacturers’ representatives, and water treatment partners. The role requires effective communication skills (verbal and written), technical presentation skills, an understanding of chemical feed and control equipment, and experience with water treatment for evaporatively cooled systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Articulate technology innovations and product offerings to internal and external customers including representatives and water treatment partners.
• Assist field water treatment professionals with troubleshooting chemical, hybrid, and non-chemical water treatment systems.
• Conduct technical PowerPoint training presentations for representatives and water treatment partners.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with end-use customers, representatives, and water treatment partners.
• Manage the temporary field panel receiving, reconditioning, shipping, installation, and return process with factory and field support.
• Meet or exceed company on-time and profitability goals.
• Travel 10 to 20% of time (varies seasonally).
• Provide timely and accurate technical responses to representatives and water treatment partners.
• Review equipment orders and submittal information for technical accuracy.
• Train and support field water service providers for commissioning and on-going operation of Evapco’s water systems.

Knowledge and Skills

• 3+ years of field water treatment service experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in Business, Chemistry, or Engineering.
• Comfortable with electrical circuits, feed & control equipment, remote monitoring, and evaporative water treatment knowledge.
