We’re looking for someone who will:

  • Ensure the integrity of financial information by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.

  • Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.

  • Responsible for preparing accurate reports, and financial statements, and supporting month-end and year-end close.

  • Support the budget preparation in collaboration with the Finance Director.

  • Review and recommend changes to the accounting system and procedures. Ensures compliance with GAAP principles. 

  • Provide knowledge and training to the different accounting teams, as needed.

  • Contribute to the onboarding process for our potential ministry partners.

  • Perform assigned work for our customer ministries (e.g. reports, bookkeeping, completing specific project work, etc.).

  • Contribute to special projects as assigned.



 

Our ideal candidate:

  • Is an experienced senior accountant for a minimum of 5 years and has a deep understanding of GAAP principles.

  • Quickbooks online experience preferred.

  • Experience working in a variety of industries from church, non-profit, and marketplace.

  • Prioritizes communication and loves working on a team.

  • Is comfortable working in a fast-paced and growing environment.

  • Is technology savvy and comfortable with using a variety of accounting systems, including MS Office or G-Suite.

  • Loves to work with people and sit as an advisor and client engagement lead to multiple organizations.

  • Would love to create content to help educate and resource ministries.

  • Is a strong project manager who loves to serve people, is collaborative, and is organized.

  • Has a heart for serving the church, loves Jesus, and is excited to grow the capital “C” church.
