Dietary Supplement company looking for an experienced analytical chemist.


ANALYTICAL CHEMIST  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Chemistry testing of raw materials. (FTIR, pH, Brix, Specific Gravity, Viscosity, etc.)
• In-Process Testing (H20 activity, pH, viscosity, etc.)
• Procedure Development (HPLC, TLC, etc.)
• Conduct stability tests on product samples
• Completion of ASSAYS via HPLC, titration, UV-Vis, etc.
• Assist in the creation and maintaining of SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures)
• Train and coach personnel performing related work
• Communicate test results via written documentation 
• Communicate with Lab personnel about received & release materials  for testing
• Ensure data has been entered on In Process and Laboratory testing logs
• Use of computer software applications (Batch Master, Issue Track, Smart Sheet)
 
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• 2+ years’ experience in the Nutraceutical Industry preferred
• B.S. in Chemistry
• Experience with Bench Chemistry, Waters HPLC, Physical Testing
• Working knowledge of cGMP requirements for dietary supplements
• Valid driver license & Insurance

 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Repeated bending, stooping and squatting
• Employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and allergens
• Multi-tasking & Strong Organization Skills
• Work effectively with minimal supervision
