With direct supervision from a Lead Technician, Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, or Maintenance Manager.


Maintenance Technician performs repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks including, but not limited to, chassis components; refuse bodies, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems; air brake systems; general engine work; HVAC components; and suspension, drive train, and steering systems.

Compensation:

$20 - $30 hourly

Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks during the 2nd shift in Bossier City, LA, US.
  • Specialize in chassis component repair, refuse bodies maintenance, including control, hydraulic, and electrical systems, as well as air brake systems.
  • Demonstrate expertise in engine repair, suspension, drivetrain, and steering systems, along with HVAC components.
  • Utilize electronic tools to identify malfunctions and carry out complex repair tasks both on-site and on the road.
  • Complete all relevant Company training programs to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and equipment.
  • Be prepared to handle different tasks as assigned and contribute to a positive impact on the community and the environment.
  • Waste hauling experience is beneficial but not mandatory for this position.
Qualifications:
  • To be considered for the Mechanic 2nd Shift position in Bossier City, LA, US, a valid Driver’s License is required.
  • The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working on heavy-duty trucks as a technician.
  • The ability to perform both inspections and repairs independently on various heavy truck and automotive systems is essential for this role.
  • While ASE Heavy Truck Certifications (T1-T8) are advantageous, they are not mandatory.
  • Previous experience with LNG and/or CNG is a bonus but not a requirement.
  • Possessing a Class B or higher Commercial Driver’s License would be beneficial but is not compulsory.
