Shick Esteve is looking for a Process Engineering Estimator to join our team in Kansas City, MO. The Process Engineering Estimator will play a proactive role in supporting the Sales team in proposal creation, Process Flow development, pumping sizing, valve selection, skid fabrication costing, and proposal development.


Work You’ll Do:

  • Conduct pump hydraulic calculations
  • Develop process flow diagrams using AutoCAD
  • Create equipment layout drawings using AutoCAD
  • Develop Excel piping and equipment
  • Perform web-based estimating
  • Handle vendor RFQs

Basic Qualifications:

  • Possess a college degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Technology or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years exposure to mechanical and/or chemical process engineering, either through education or professional experience
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge in Excel, AutoCAD, and pump hydraulic calculations
  • Capable of reading and understanding process flow diagrams, P&ID’s, and plant layout drawings
  • Able to effectively communicate technical information to a diverse range of personnel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the process field
  • Experience working with food and beverage and/or processing plants
  • Experience in estimating projects based on RFQs, tenders, and verbal communication; able to define scope and utilize necessary resources to determine optimal pricing
