Bryn Mawr Care, a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMHRF) in Chicago, IL, has an immediate opening for a Full-Time Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS). This is not a CNA or DSP position.


The Certified Recovery Support Specialist (CRSS) is a credential for those who provide mental health or co-occurring mental illness and substance abuse recovery support to others. A person with the CRSS credential uses unique insights gained through personal recovery experience. We will help sponsor your Certification if you meet other qualifications.


Days are Wednesdays thru Sundays, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Pay is $18-20 per hour depending on credentials.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • CRSS (Certified Recovery Support Specialist) credential preferred (we will cover the cost of the credential exam after you have taken and passed the course.
  • Personal experience with psycho-social rehabilitation services, psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and/or development disorders.
  • Tolerance and compassion for adults with psychiatric disorders
