Job Summary: As a Tax Manager, you will lead various phases of tax compliance engagements, including document management, tax return preparation, and tax planning. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee client engagements from initiation to completion.
  • Review and evaluate tax associate work for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate the completion of client tax returns, ensuring readiness for final partner review.
  • Represent clients during Federal and State tax audits.
  • Conduct detailed federal tax research on significant projects such as R&D Credits and Net Investment Income Tax issues.
  • Stay updated on evolving federal and state tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with Client Accounting and Assurance departments to meet comprehensive client needs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients through meetings, written correspondence, and responses to inquiries.
  • Provide tax planning and projection services.
  • Foster and maintain positive relationships with both clients and team members.
  • Lead, train, and provide performance feedback to junior staff.


Requirements


  • CPA or EA license, or the ability to obtain a license within the first year of employment; a company-sponsored incentive program is available.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 4 years of tax experience in a public accounting environment.
  • Prior management experience is highly advantageous.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a proven ability to lead and collaborate with diverse teams.
  • Highly motivated with a strong internal drive to meet deadlines and management objectives.
  • Positive and professional demeanor.
