  • Take Vitals and room patients.
  • Cleans exam rooms as needed.
  • Assists physicians with patient exams and procedures as needed.
  • Answer incoming calls, check messages, and return calls in a timely manner.
  • Obtain benefits, pre-certifications, authorizations, and enter information in the account notes in EHR.
  • Provide detailed messages and prescription refills to the physician and/or nurse; pull and provide medical charts throughout the day for clinicians.
  • Provide charts for next visit with appropriate paperwork and pending lab work with notes from prior visits.
  • Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to work independently and part of a team.
What is Required:
  • 1-2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office or clinic.
  • Must have completed an Medical Assistant program.
  • Preference for experience with AdvancedMD or other EMR software.
