Sales Representative Summary

Full-time |Monday – Friday | Days

Sales Representative will grow existing accounts and obtain new business in the designated market by calling on distribution companies and prospecting. The Sales Representative is responsible for sales and profit generation in their territory, and for exceeding customer expectations.

Qualifications

  • Able to travel frequently within the region
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Notable eye for detail
  • Impeccable record keeping skills
  • Masterful report generating skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience within redistribution environment; with a strong focus on disposable food service products
  • Current relationships with Broadline Foodservice Distributors

Sales Representative Duties

  • Builds sustainable relationships through open and interactive communication
  • Services existing accounts and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work
  • Adjusts content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet
  • Studies existing and potential volume of distributors to focus sales efforts
  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature
  • Submits activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses to management
  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommends changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Maintains records on area and customer sales
  • Other duties as assigned
