Business Operations Intern (Part-Time / Summer)

Job Description

The ideal candidate would be a college student focusing on a business administration or similar degree. The Business Operations Intern would be able to apply their knowledge of course related material to real-world projects, tasks, and responsibilities. Throughout this internship, the Business Operations Intern will take on an increasing amount of responsibility as the internship progresses and demonstrate initiative and competence. The goal by the end of the internship is to evaluate the experience and decide if this company and field is the right fit for you. This position would report to the Executive Assistant to CEO and PMO.

Job Responsibilities

  • Complete entry-level work to gain experience in specific fields
  • Understand the overall concept of the company, including brand, customer, product goals, and all other aspects of service
  • Learn and become proficient in software used by WNA/IPS
  • Attend meetings and take minutes to share with the team
  • Create a plan of action, set project goals, and manage completion when assigned a project
  • Follow instructions from supervisor and deliver frequent updates
  • Self-audit work and check data for errors and inconsistencies
  • Compile and organize data in graphs, charts, mockups, and diagrams
  • Job shadow different roles and departments to gain exposure and insight
  • Network with other interns, employees, managers, and mentors to build professional relationships and contacts
  • Perform clerical duties and organize departmental documents
  • Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Attaining a bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar area of study
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks with a sense of urgency
  • Well organized with an aptitude for details
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Have the ability to multi-task and produce quality results under pressure
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
  • Must be self-started and able to work independently with little supervision
  • Maintain confidentiality when it comes to employees, customers, products, or services
  • Ability to demonstrate professionalism throughout Internship
