FEL Driver

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The FEL Driver is responsible for driving a designated route each workday to deliver and pick up various recycling containers in various types of trucks, primarily FEL.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Operate vehicle in accordance with OSHA and DOT requirements, as well as all local, state and federal laws
- Perform pre and post trip vehicle inspections and document utilizing the standard DVR
- Deliver quality customer service and interaction at the utmost professional level
- Record and maintain daily customer delivery tickets
- Communicate customer requests and/or service interruptions to Operations staff
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES
- A valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License
- Must be 21 years of age
- Successfully complete pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical and 7-year background check, which will include previous employment check, criminal history and motor vehicle review
- Must be able to verify and maintain accurate daily records
- Strong customer service skills
- Be able to lift up to 65 lbs. and push/pull 200 lb. recycling containers

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- At least three (3) years of experience driving commercial routes, preferably in the recycling or waste management industry.

- None
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
- Designated daily delivery/pick up route assignment(s).
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Regularly use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools or controls, and reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to sit, walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, squat, kneel, crawl, speak and hear.
- Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs. and push/pull 200 lb. recycling containers
- Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
