Job Summary

As our Senior HR Generalist, you will bring years of hands-on experience managing end to end HR processes including performance management, employee relations, talent development, onboarding, DEI, and employee engagement to the role. You'll drive a range of HR initiatives with creativity, empathy, authority, and adherence to laws and regulations, impacting employees across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Abacus's Head of HR and L&D team to design and implement employee development programs, including training initiatives, career development plans, and performance management systems.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth, providing resources and support for skill enhancement and career advancement.
  • Partner with HR team and Abacus people managers to develop employee engagement initiatives, such as surveys, recognition programs, and team-building activities, to promote a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Responsible for the company's performance management process including overseeing the performance review cycle as well as ongoing performance coaching.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related matters, with an emphasis on performance management and employee relations.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and industry best practices.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the organization, driving initiatives to cultivate a culture of belonging and respect for all employees.
  • Assess and address diversity gaps and implement strategies to enhance representation and inclusivity at all levels of the organization.
  • Act as a cultural ambassador, promoting company values and fostering a sense of community and collaboration among employees.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for employees, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and providing guidance on workplace issues.
  • Act as liaison between our external payroll/benefits provider and Abacus employees.
  • Develop and implement wellness programs and initiatives to support employee well-being and work-life balance.
  • Monitor employee morale and satisfaction levels, conducting regular feedback sessions and surveys while implementing action plans to address areas of improvement.

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment, IT or MSP experience preferred but not required
  • Proven ability to lead and provide guidance to achieve individual, team and organizational objectives
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lead complex employee relations issues from start to finish
  • Experience overseeing large scale HR projects and initiatives
  • Experience leading the semi-annual performance review process as well as performance assessment processes
  • Understanding and practical application of state and federal labor laws

Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of HR experience required across multiple HR functions
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Employee relations & performance management experience required
  • Experience navigating HR Technology stack (iSolved or similar HRIS, Lattice or similar Performance tool, Greenhouse or similar ATS/Onboarding tool) required
  • HR certifications preferred but not required
