The Mailroom Clerk position will provide our new hire with a uniquely experiential opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day bustle of a prestigious legal group. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate mail, copy, and fax equipment
  • Sort mail and packages as instructed; shipping and receiving
  • Handle sensitive material including urgent, legal, financial, and other confidential documents
  • Adhere to all compliance and procedural guidelines
  • Maintain logs and report documentation as instructed
  • Maintain the highest level of professionalism at all times
  • Receipt and distribution of all physical and electronic mail
  • Printing and assembling trial folders and final judgment folders
  • All incoming UPS and FEDEX mail is inputted in the Find and Sign application on the firm iPad. The mail is there delivered to the correct recipient, and the recipient asked to provide a signature confirmation on the iPad to confirm delivery of the mail.
  • Identifying mail for other offices and sending the mail to the other RAS sister firms.
  • Other relevant tasks as assigned by management

Education

  • Associate’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • High school or equivalent required

Physical Functions

The employee may be required to physically open, time and date stamp, and sort the incoming mail daily. The employee must be able to remain standing 50% of the time.. The employee may be required to physically open, review, sort, process, and deliver UPS, FedEx, and packages to various departments which would require walking and standing relative to interaction with other personnel. The employee will be required to have verbal and written communication skills, to listen, to adapt to changing workflows, to follow instructions, and assist with inquiries.

Work Environment

The employee will generally work at a desk in the secure Mail & Copy Room in an open workspace. The room is a large, well-lighted, air-conditioned office with moderate noise levels.
