Kitchen Aide
for our growing Culinary Services team

Bridgeway is a new kind of healthcare organization providing holistic treatment through addiction recovery, problem gambling treatment, mental health therapy, and primary medical care.
Primary Purpose
The Kitchen Aide will ensure that wares for the front and back of the kitchen and Food Truck are clean and sanitized. This position is also expected to provide housekeeping support as needed to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of the assigned spaces/work areas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Washes all wares, including pots, pans, flatware, and glasses, by hand or using dishwashers.
- Places and stores correctly clean equipment, dishes, and utensils in assigned storage areas.
- Stocks serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and other assigned areas with necessary dishes and utensils.
- Cleans trash receptacles with water or steam.
- Moves dishwashing supplies and equipment from storage to the work area by hand or using hand trucks.
- Ensures work areas remain safe, clean, and orderly, adhering to all company, local, and state guidelines regarding health, safety, and sanitation.
- Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings, walls, floors, and equipment with special cleaning solutions. and disinfectants to prevent the spread of disease.
- Mop, sweep, dust, and vacuum floors and work areas as appropriate that need attention.
- Removes trash and/or recycles, restocks paper supplies and liners, etc, as needed.
- Maintains an organized and clean work environment.
- May assist in cleaning and preparing various foods for cooking and/or serving, as directed.
- Attends staff meetings and collaborates with other team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Provides Housekeeping support as needed.
Qualifications
- Requires a valid Oregon Food Handler card or the ability to obtain one prior to starting work.
- Restaurant experience preferred.
- Qualified candidate must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to understand and meet restaurant standards for health, safety, and excellence.
- Ability to remain alert and focused within an environment that is noisy and fast-paced.
- Ability to work effectively with kitchen staff.
- Organized and attentive to details.
- Proven ability to be a team player.
- Exercises flexibility and sound judgment in dealing with customer needs.
- Commitment to professionalism, including effective verbal and non-verbal communication.
Scheduling
Available to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and/or weekends and/or holidays.
