POSITION SUMMARY: This position works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor as part of the logistical hub through which all tools, material and equipment must be received, organized, and expedited to the field. Requirements and Qualifications:
- Must interact with colleagues as well to provide and receive information, seek answers to questions and coordinate work tasks
- When communicating with managers, provide input, describe a problem with received goods or resolve a shipping conflict
- Must maintain professional interaction with suppliers and shipping providers
- High School diploma or GED equivalent and a quick learner
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with warehouse supervisor to assure the following tasks & procedures are performed/adhered to:
Facility Maintenance & Security:
- As directed by warehouse manager, ensure the shop and surrounding property is cleaned, always maintained and safe.
- Assist with general shop and office cleaning and repairs
- Assist with landscaping & snow removal
- Complete interior & exterior garbage collection
- Work with Warehouse Manager to keep organization and inventory of all shop material, equipment, and stock
- Assist in company tool repair/maintenance
Deliveries/Pickups:
- Assist in loading of materials for projects
- Deliver parts and materials to technicians at customer locations
- Pickup and return parts and materials at supply houses/vendors
- Drive vehicles to receive preventive maintenance and repairs
Material and equipment handling:
- Receive material and equipment deliveries
- Notify ordering individuals that their order was receipted in a timely manner
- Assist with stage of material and equipment as needed for expediting in an orderly manner
- Communicate clearly with Warehouse Supervisor regarding all deliveries, pick-ups and clean-off of job sites
As well as other duties not explicitly mentioned above as required by management
Working Conditions:
Pushing, pulling, and lifting various types of equipment. Walking, standing, and stooping for extended periods of time. Climbing and working from ladders and staging while carrying equipment that may weigh up to 75 lbs.
Working at difficult angles to perform repairs. Working in all types of weather conditions. May be exposed to dust, noise, heat, cold, lubricants, and chemicals during the course of work.
