A Respiratory Care Practitioner at Harris Health is an advanced therapist that actively role models the behaviors associated with the art and science of Respiratory Care. The Respiratory Care Practitioner will initiate and conduct therapeutic procedures, including the application of oxygen and compressed air, in addition to instructing patients on proper breathing techniques. In this role, you will also serve as a mentor to others and create an environment for the delivery of safe patient care.

Requirements
  • Associate's Degree
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the CoARC
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Respiratory Care Practitioner from the Texas Medical Board
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification preferred 
  • 2 years of experience as a practicing therapist in a Respiratory Care Department
