CADD Technician

We have an excellent contract opportunity for a CADD Technician (Piping) to work in our Piping/Mechanical department.

The CADD Technician (Piping) performs routine drafting assignments, which requires knowledge and skills in basic drafting techniques and procedures. Assignments are designed to further develop the technician's job knowledge and abilities.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare simple to moderately difficult engineering and construction drawings from sketches or verbal instructions, utilizing manual or computer-assisted drafting/design techniques
• Prepare drawings from markups, charts and tables
• Perform related fundamental engineering support tasks such as updating computer lists, filing prints, distributing drawings, making simple calculations, proofreading reports, etc.
• Utilize information from vendor prints, catalogs, technical manuals, etc.
• Support field assignments

Requirements:

• Associates Degree in a technical drafting field, highly preferred, or equivalent experience
• Entry level drafting experience
• Fundamental skills in MicroStation / ACAD
• Ability to utilize MS Office and Google suites
• Technical savvy and ability to learn new software
