Position Overview:

The Children’s Village seeks a Grants Writer who will support all aspects of private foundation and government grant writing and report submissions within the Advancement Department. The Grant Writer’s primary responsibilities will include researching new funder prospects, drafting persuasive grant proposals and reports, and compiling all aspects of proposal and report materials

Position Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Communication, English, or related field. Two years of full-time professional experience required. Three or more years preferred -- preferably at a non-profit organization. Excellent writing, editing, and analytical skills. Grant writing experience preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to identify, understand, and articulate program needs in collaboration with colleagues. Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines. Flexibility to take on new assignments as opportunities arise. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat. Knowledge of government grant processes and systems a plus. Experience with finance and budgeting a plus. Access to reliable transportation.
