We are looking for a Kitchen Supervisor. Responsibilities include maintaining the restaurants food presentation, cleanliness, and inventory to ensure profitability and meet quality goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing a BOH team including scheduling, training, evaluating, mentoring and general supervision.
- Train on proper cooking techniques, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Monitor food quality and consistency, conducting regular taste tests and visual inspections of menu items.
- Enforce cleanliness and sanitation of production and service areas, equipment and employee appearance.
- Forecast and maintain food inventory.
- Enforce compliance with kitchen sanitation and safety rules and regulations.
- Ensures that food delivers to the restaurant is in good quality, invoices are correct and food is stored in a temperature-controlled unit within the allowed time of delivery.
- Execute company policies and procedures.
- Represent the brand and maintain quality of the Gyu-Kaku Brand
- Minimum 2 years experience as a kitchen supervisor in a fast paced, high-volume restaurant.
- Experience supervising the kitchen at an Asian tabletop BBQ concept is a plus
- Must possess strong culinary skills.
- Skills in understanding food costs, scheduling, purchasing, labor cost control, presentation, food safety and sanitation, essential.
- Proficiency in English/Spanish
- Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
- Must be available to work varied hours/days, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.

Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
