Metis is seeking a Government Contracts Manager to join our corporate team in Albuquerque, NM. The Contracts Manager will provide leadership in every aspect of the contract lifecycle and use creative thinking skills to drive solutions that help solve the critical missions that Metis serves. This position will be embedded in a mission-focused operations group and responsible for activities associated with proposal development/submittal and contract management/administration on multiple assigned contracts.


The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of all contract types and enjoy working in a challenging, fast-paced environment dealing with complex contracting matters. Work independently with minimal oversight, research compliance issues, interpret regulations, and formulate recommendations, using knowledge of FAR, DFAR and other Customer regulations. Act as the primary focal for customer interface with Company during all phases of contract performance. Solve problems, develop solutions, and assist the company in achieving their financial and performance goals and objectives.

This is an onsite position, remote work is not authorized.

Responsibilities Will Include
• Participation in advance planning discussions of new business pursuits.
• Teaming and non-disclosure agreements.
• Contract negotiation and contract administration to ensure proper contract attainment and implementation of contract requirements in accordance with company policies.
• Support Subcontracts and Purchasing personnel by providing compliant procurement processes and ensure appropriate flow down provisions are identified.
• Identifies, tracks, mitigates, and resolves risk issues.
• Legal requirements, and customer specifications.
• Assist during government audits and reviews.
• Project setups and modification entry.
• This position will be in Albuquerque, NM.

Required Skills
• 5+ years of experience in Government Contract Management.
• Experience working with FAR, DFARS, Agency regulations, ITAR, etc.
• Experience in generating and negotiating complex proposals/contracts.
• Experience with T&M, Fixed Price and Cost Type Contracts.
