We are a nationwide Staffing Firm with over 100 clients and works primarily with Fortune 1000 corporations.Job Description:Sources Indirect Materials for multiple locations throughout the company. Maintains buying responsibilities for materials and services that do not get added onto the product. All qualified candidates will position with key partners, stakeholders, engage with internal customers, and develop supplier relationships.Duties and Responsibilities
  • Analyze requisitions and prepare product and or service specifications, bids and agreements
  • Negotiates price and terms with suppliers
  • Utilizes strategic procurement policies, procedures, guidelines, and tools
  • Initiates and implements cost reductions on assigned commodities
  • Lead and execute sourcing projects
  • Identify new suppliers of goods and services while evaluating their capabilities when it comes to quality and delivery
  • Understand internal customer requirements, assist in the preparation of the RFQ, and then execute the RFQ
  • Troubleshoots to resolve issues relating to assigned suppliers and their parts/services
  • Works cross-functionally with others to resolve commodity related issues
  • Effectively manage the transition from incumbent to new suppliers
  • Responds quickly to changing production and office needs
  • Process purchase orders and assist in expediting material as required to ensure delivery scheduled is met
  • Resolve invoice Price Block issues with suppliers and AP dept
  • Adheres to company purchasing and accounting policies and procedures
  • Works additional assigned tasks and completes special projects as needed
  • Identify, execute, and track productivity around cost reduction and cash flow improvement
Education and Training
  • College degree in business or supply chain management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in material procurement
Qualifications and Experience
  • Coupa, Info-LN, and SAP experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical ability and complex problem-solving skills
  • Self-starter with initiative; ability to function with minimal supervision
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work within team environment
  • Strong knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
