Job Overview:

 

Sandford Federal is in the process of recruiting Maintenance Skilled Trade Assistance The objective of this acquisition is to provide professional Maintenance Temps who are skilled in the building trades to assist with the general maintenance duties and/or remodeling projects. Potential duties shall include general maintenance tasks such as simple construction, repairs to roadways and walks, routine preventative maintenance, heavy janitorial and general services work.

 

Major Duties:

  • Simple construction (painting, fencing, drywall repair/replacement, light carpentry, electrical, plumbing, metalworking, steam fitting, refrigeration, HVAC, and/or masonry).
  • Use of common maintenance tools and equipment, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, levels, shovels, saws, planes, levels, gauges, and meter squares.
  • Routine preventative maintenance and work order completion.
  • Inspecting buildings and grounds for adherence to institutional safety and sanitary regulations.
  • Providing services in areas of extreme heat or cold and/or requirement of heavy lifting (ex: furniture or equipment).
  • Preparing reports and/or keeping records.
  • Estimating time and materials required for an assignment.

Requirements:

  • Complete the required (paid) training prior to initiating services: up to four (4) days, thirty-two (32) hours of orientation/training to be provided on-site at the Potomac Center.
  • Follow the rules and policies of the facilities as outlined in the training/orientation.
  • Be comfortable working around adults with intellectual disabilities.

Necessary Documents to be submitted:

 

  • A previously completed background check from within the last three (3) years.
  • copy of the Driver's License issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) to prove that the maintenance temps is at least twenty-one (21) years old.
  • three (3) references from the past five (5) years to prove your experience.
  • Provide documentation of completed COVID -19 vaccination.
