Randall Electrical Contractors is currently seeking top-tier Medium Voltage Electricians for projects in the Space Coast area / Private Space Industry / CCSFS / PAFB., with 5-10 years of experience in the trade, to work from our Titusville, FL office. Experience with space flight processing facilities and ground-up construction projects is preferred. We are excited about this important role and are determined to consider the best and brightest candidates who meet our requirements.

Position Summary

Our Medium Voltage Electricians' primary responsibility is the hands-on planning, installation and troubleshooting of electrical systems and may serve as a team lead for staff assigned to assist them, helping them to become familiarized with equipment, tools, work procedures, and ensure safety procedures are followed.

Essential Functions

  • Install a variety of electrical equipment, such as generators, transformers, switchboards, controllers, circuit breakers, motors, heating units, conduit systems, or other transmission equipment.
  • Work from blueprints, drawings, layouts, or other specifications.
  • Locate and diagnose trouble during installation of electrical system or equipment.
  • Work standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment.
  • Use of a variety of electrician’s hand tools and test & measurement instruments.
  • Maintain the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Desired Qualification Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • In-depth understanding of medium voltage systems typically ranging from 1kv to 35kv.
  • Familiarity with medium voltage cable splicing XLPE, PILC, EPR.
  • Possess Medium voltage splicing / termination certification.
  • Understanding of medium voltage transformers, switches, and substations.
  • Knowledge of underground duct bank installation.
  • Ability to pass background check for job site badging.
  • Ability to pass drug screen.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
  • Ability to adhere to, implement, and follow safety procedures at all times.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Strong organizational skills and a positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. You must also be able to bend, stretch, crouch, and lift as required by the job, be able to respond quickly to sounds, move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces, see and respond to dangerous situations, safely climb ladders while carrying tools/items, work in extreme weather, and properly wear personal protective gear.
