A TECHNOLOGY MANAGER ROLE

As the Technology Manager, you will serve in a leadership role for the Technology (Axis) area and guide a team of consultants to ensure delivery of professional services for JMC. The Manager has substantial experience and knowledge and integrates systems thinking, collaborative relationships, and the resources to achieve company mission and goals. This role also leads, mentors, and encourages assigned team members to fulfill goals that align with company direction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead assigned team members in analyzing, designing, and developing solutions for projects, clients, and overall company strategic plans.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing use of the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) processes and tools.
  • Direct recruiting, retention, and succession efforts for assigned teams. Ensure team training and development to maximize competence and promote company culture and core value behaviors.
  • Assure quality of work and ensure satisfaction of clients. Coach and encourage team on company client culture.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead staffing and recruiting efforts within assigned teams to ensure the right mix of disciplines and talent.
  • Mentor team members on core value behaviors. Practice and champion respect, belonging and habits of inclusion in the workplace.
  • Collaborate with Managers, Vice Presidents, and Consultants to ensure initiatives of leadership are achieved.
  • Lead in field of expertise and regularly share knowledge internally and externally including participating in community engagements, public service opportunities and public health informatics promotions.
  • Develop and oversee assigned budget including team compliance. Ensure efficient and effective use of company resources to achieve company strategic goals.
  • Accountable to area of responsibility as agreed with Director and Vice President.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Limited oversight of assigned team members and areas of interest including costs, budgets, legal compliance, training, development, disciplinary action, and best practice standards.
  • Provides guidance and seeks approval from Director and/or Vice President on assigned team salary and hire/fire decisions.
  • Management of assigned budget(s).

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years college in field of expertise and/or related coursework/training or 7 plus years related experience, including at least three years in a management role, and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Positive and enthusiastic personality.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to effectively lead with a team-player approach.
  • Decisive yet open-minded and able to adapt to different situations quickly.
  • Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards
  • Excellent client relationship skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and problem solve. Mathematical and financial skills for budgeting responsibilities.
  • Excellent organization and follow-through skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to be flexible and perform varying job tasks as assigned.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Trustworthy with willingness to share information transparently.
