A Registered Nurse performs responsible healthcare administrative work including coordination of medication clinics and follow-up of patients receiving medication services from the Center’s mental health adult outpatient clinics.Facilitates patient medication management & education based on identified evidence-based protocols to include education & guidance about medications & possible side effects through the use of HHSC-approved materials.Responsible for the accurate and safe administration of injectable medication.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Proficiency in general aspects of nursing/healthcare.
  • Highly organized and well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Mature problem-solving approach to daily work.
  • Good interpersonal skills and an ability to establish cooperative relationships with consumers and their families.
  • Self-motivated with good time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work within a team approach. A team player who can follow a system and protocol to achieve a common goal
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including maneuvering in SmartCare Electronic Health Record
  • May require irregular work hours.
  • Will require travel to 4 work sites across Galveston & Brazoria Counties


Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.- Required
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas - Required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) licensed to work in Texas - Preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as RN - Required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in behavioral health/IDD/dual diagnosis (MH + SUD) - Required
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience - Required
  • Minimum of 3 years of Emergency Room / Triage experience - Required


Job Details:

  • Will require travel to 4 work sites across Galveston & Brazoria Counties.
  • Schedule: Mon - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with 1/hr lunch break
  • $34/hr (Based on experience) + benefits
  • May require irregular work hours.
  • Temp-to-Hire opportunity
  • Outpatient facility
