Our Purchasing Operations analyst will focus on in-direct purchasing tasks including but not limited to issuance of POs, participation in supplier selection, accounts receivables, vendor registration, and NDA/contract support.
Essential DutiesPurchasing
- Plans, organizes, and supports activities related to the procurement function
- Develop and recommends purchasing policies for the organization
- Manages the purchase of Direct and Non-Direct materials including but not limited to machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, services and supplies
- Maintains records, delivery dates, vendors, costs, and other resources
- Facilitates weekly sourcing meeting, which includes providing status updates and tracking information
- Ability to evaluate vendor quotations and utilize appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service.
- Oversee and monitor procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements.
- Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at competitive pricing, while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct.
- Oversees the issuing of purchase orders and communication of change notices to suppliers.
- Reviews purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
- Reviews and supports contracts, bids, NDAs, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications
- Ability to provide purchasing recommendations with supporting documentation and insight
- Requires conscientiousness towards due dates and full ownership of tasks.
- Ability to zoom out and work with a technical cross-functional team.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Power Point), SAP, Agile, PLM System
- Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing or Materials Management or greater.
- Minimum 5 years experience in sourcing, planning, materials management, or logistics
Language Skill Level: High skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Articulate and well-organized in explaining complicated procedures verbally to all levels of individuals as well as management.
Math: Intermediate skills – Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
