Job Summary:
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for varied aspects of Clarity’s technology infrastructure operations. The Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring a secure, compliant, robust, reliable, scalable, and efficient (cloud) infrastructure. The individual in this role holds responsibility for ensuring cloud infrastructure solutions meet HIPAA, HITRUST, federal and state security, and compliance regulations. This position reports to the Director of Infrastructure.

Essential Functions
  • Design, Implement, and Maintain Scalable Secure Cloud Infrastructure Solutions.
  • Operate and support AWS shared services components.
  • Provision and Manage Cloud Solutions, Including Compute, Storage, and Networking.
  • Automate AWS Cloud Solutions:  AWS Services, Python, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Provision and Maintain AWS AMIs, leveraging Packer, and Ansible for Image Standards.
  • Monitor Cloud Infrastructure Performance, troubleshoot issues when they arise.
  • Investigate and provide feedback on new AWS services and solutions.
  • Possess a strong understanding of patching on Linux and Windows-based systems to ensure system security and stability.
  • Collaborate effectively with Infrastructure teams to integrate cloud infrastructure with existing systems and applications.
  • Build and maintain CICD pipelines to automate the development, testing, and deployment of cloud infrastructure components.
  • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, demonstrating excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.

Education Required
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field -or- equivalent experience.

Knowledge & Experience
  • Minimum of 3 Years of hands-on Experience within the AWS Cloud Environment.
  • Expertise in incident identification, problem-solving, and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with AWS Services (VPC, s3, EC2, RDS, AWS Organizations, AWS SSO, IAM, Service Catalog, Lambda, Load Balancers, SQS, etc.)
  • A strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices to protect sensitive data and maintain compliance (HI TRUST / SOC II) with industry standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of AWS services and capabilities to effectively design and manage cloud-based solutions.
  • AWS Cloud Practitioner, AWS Data Engineer, or Higher AWS Certifications strongly preferred.
  • Experience in documenting technical requirements and procedures to ensure clear communication, and knowledge transfer.

Physical Demands
  • Must be able to sit at a desk 80 percent of the time.
  • Must be able to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate a computer and other office products (i.e. a computer printer).
  • Must be able to frequently communicate via varied communication apps and methods.
