Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance around the building such as filters, light bulbs, painting and fixing structural damage, for example, window, door or wall repair
  • Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, wall fixtures, broken or leaking plumbing, etc.
  • Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
  • Install and maintain appliances and equipment as suggested
  • Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation)
  • Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
  • Repairing and installing fire and safety equipment – exit signs, smoke detectors, fire extinguishers, eyewash stations
  • Assist in coordinating electrical, rodent control, paving, signage, HVAC, and other misc. projects requiring specific equipment or certifications.
  • Applying preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems, such as using a sealant on a flat roof
  • Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Experience using hand and electrical tools
  • Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
