The successful candidate will design across over 20 different supported experiences, from connected TVs, to mobile apps to web. Associate Product Designer Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $35-$40/hr (Pay varies based on candidate's location and experience)
  • Worksite: Leading digital streaming network. (Remote, Candidates must be located in the United States, candidates located in Pacific Standard Time preferred)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
  • 40 hours/week, 6 Month Assignment, Possibility of conversion

Associate Product Designer Responsibilities:

  • Create designs that help improve content discovery and expand user-driven controls for increased personalization.
  • Research the competitive landscape, create user flows and work towards product designs that take into consideration evolving functionality, technological innovation and their effects on the product and company revenue.
  • Take direction from design leads as requirements are forming. Collaborate with product, engineering and other cross-functional partners to develop compelling solutions across multiple problem platforms and devices.
  • Be an advocate for visual and functional consistency while also capitalizing on strategic opportunities to evolve our design systems and interactions.

Associate Product Designer Qualifications:

  • Recent Design graduate with a completed BA/BFA – 2 years of product design experience.
  • Experience quickly adapting to fast-moving timelines and variable project requirements.
  • Experience in finding a concept and developing that.
  • Experience with Figma is a must have.
  • A strong UX and visual design sense, with an eye for simple, intuitive interfaces.
  • Knowledge on how to design for HIG (human interface guideline) or designing for Native for Apple, or for Material (Android) – knowing how to use their recommended design system.
  • Collaborates with the team to understand requirements, and expectations, while advocating for the user needs.
  • Ability to rapidly concept, ideate, and execute multiple concepts.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • An impressive portfolio that illustrates an understanding of functionality paired with a modern visual design sensibility. Any applicant without an online portfolio will not be considered.
  • Understanding of foundational design principles: grids, font and color styles, layout, responsiveness, etc.
  • Builds click-through prototypes and tests hypotheses.
  • General platform knowledge of App / OTT and understanding of Responsiveness Web.
  • Presents designs and articulates the thinking behind the designs to peers and stakeholders.
  • Completes developer handoff and supports designs through development and design QA.
  • Accepts feedback from the team and thoughtfully incorporates changes.
  • Completes tasks with autonomy, sharing work regularly and asking questions when the path forward is unclear. Eagerly takes on ad-hoc tasks.
  • Comfortable with networking in order to look for solutions.
  • Curious and highly collaborative, and able to work independently.
  • Able to speak with developers and able to grow on the technical side.
