MISSION

The Certified Coder is responsible for extracting CPT, ICD-10 and HCPCS codes from the provider’s documentation to be entered in the Electronic Medical Record system and appropriate forms, while working closely with providers to ensure accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS

Basic Qualifications:

Education:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Previous, Job Relevant Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in coding, including E/M coding

Credentials/Licensures:

  • Current Certified Professional Coder (CPC)

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous, Job Relevant Work Experience:

  • Previous experience in Urology/Gynecology field
  • Working knowledge of eClinical system
  • Fluent in E/M coding

Credentials/Licensures

  • Current Urology Coding Certification (CUC)
  • Current Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)
