Scrum Master/Business Analyst

Our client has an agile team that leverages two key roles: Scrum Master and Business Analyst. The right candidate will work both acting as a coach, guiding the team through Scrum principles and practices and ensuring timely ceremonies while championing an Agile mindset. This individual will also provide reports to stakeholders. As the Business Analyst, they will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions while collaborating with stakeholders and the data team to translate business goals into actionable requirements. Ultimately, they support the Product Owner, who leads the team's technical direction.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:


  • Lead Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-up, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, and Retrospective meetings.

  • Guide the team on Agile principles and practices to deliver high-quality products/services.

  • Develop the Team: Foster self-organization, cross-functionality, and domain knowledge within the team.

  • Work closely with the Product Owner/Tech Lead to effectively lead the team.

  • Communication Champion: Communicate effectively within and outside the team to enhance collaboration.

  • Resolve or assist in resolving issues hindering the team's progress.

  • Continuously learn about Scrum and organizational dynamics for professional growth.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities.

  • Develop clear and testable user stories in Jira.

  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog with the Product Owner/Tech Lead based on business needs.

  • Communicate project progress and results to stakeholders.

  • Facilitate communication between the Product Owner/Tech Lead, development team, and business users.
