Essential Job Functions
The job responsibilities for a teacher aide may vary greatly from location to location; however, consider the following responsibilities when hiring:
- Ensures teaching materials and supplies are available for teacher's use prior to and during the instructional hour.
- Ensures room is properly set up and clean.
- Assists with tracking and managing student attendance.
- Assists with the efforts to retain students in the program.
- Monitors “Ace it” Tutoring rewards (store).
- Acts as a substitute teacher in scheduled teacher’s absence (if person also meets “Ace it” Tutoring teacher requirements).
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Must be able to solve problems in a quick and efficient manner. Must have good communication skills and be detail oriented and organized.
