Tool Crib Attendant

The Tool Crib Attendant maintains Tool Crib / Storeroom inventory of parts, supplies and materials. Dispenses tooling as requested by plant personnel. Monitors inventory levels making necessary adjustments for tracking as requisitions are filled. Stocks received items to proper locations. Maintains electronic tracking systems as concerning inventory and vendor information. Interface with suppliers to ensure parts orders are being filled, and maintain SAP material info records, and source lists. This is a 3rd Shift position. The shift runs Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 p.m. - 7:00 a.m. Any applicant should have the availability to flex their schedule as needed.

Main Tasks

  • Interface with suppliers on day-to-day orders
  • Generate, monitor, and follow up on purchase requisitions
  • Setup new N-Numbers in SAP (Min/Max user requests)
  • Invoice review vs purchase order
  • Create info record for MRO
  • Create source list for MRO
  • Data integration standard price vs purchasing price
  • Generate purchasing material usage analysis report
  • Obtain Purchase order confirmation from supplier
  • Maintain MRO inventory
  • Follow up on Automatic purchase orders
  • Follow up on Past Due purchase orders, contact supplier as needed.
  • Maintain data integrity of physical inventory vs SAP (N-Number)
  • Provide maintenance and production support
  • Unpack, store, and receive material in SAP, including international shipments
  • Maintain FIFO of MRO inventory
  • Maintain and adjust N-number reorder point and reorder values as requested by engineering
  • Review commercial invoices
  • Maintain and adjust MRO locations as needed.

Secondary Tasks

  • Works with suppliers to resolve issues with product quality and delivery discrepancies.
  • Maintains proper stocking and delivery to point-of-use locations throughout facility.
  • Observes plant safety rules.
  • Tracks work orders and informs engineers.
  • Performs other duties as requested by supervision.

Education, Training, Certifications

  • High school diploma or GED required

Experience

  • 3-5 years of work experience or prior technical training or work experience with mechanical background is a must.
  • Developed computer skills including background in SAP R/3 operating environments, Word, Excel.

Job Knowledge and Skills

  • Requires knowledge of all equipment throughout the plant and related tooling and supply parts needed.
  • Requires ability to determine tooling repair needs and to make minor repairs.
  • Must have a detailed knowledge of company requisitioning procedures and with inventory maintenance practices. This includes, but not limited to, SAP R/3 functions concerning all aspects of inventory management.
  • Requires good communications skills and the ability to work well with others in a demanding atmosphere.

Accountability / Impact of Errors

Responsibility for Equipment

  • Maintains the Tool Crib equipment and area daily.
  • Report any problems with equipment and write work orders if repairs are needed to equipment.

Responsibility for Material

  • Assure data integrity by maintaining inventory through goods receipt and part issuance.

Responsibility for Others

  • Always abiding and practicing safety rules during the operation of any material handling equipment in and around work areas

Working Conditions

  • Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 10 hours.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours.
