Payroll Coordinator– Job Duties

You will support accounting department activities, with an emphasis on payroll and accounts receivables (AR), with support and mentorship from our Accounting Supervisor.

You will:

  • Have primary ownership for the payroll process including obtaining and verifying timesheets for accuracy and importing timesheets into third-party payroll system, running bi-weekly payroll
  • Input payroll changes (ie: pay increase, withholding changes)
  • Process payroll deductions for taxes, benefits
  • Perform daily invoicing from the SAP system for products shipped but not yet invoiced
  • Perform complex accounts receivable procedures including creating credit memos and deductions for short payments
  • Accounts receivable collections follow ups

Payroll Coordinator – You Are (Required Skills, Experience & Culture Alignment):

You are:

  • Driven to continue to grow your skills working in an accounting department, bringing your foundational accounting experience
  • A detail master – you can identify inconsistencies and unusual items in payroll, timesheets, and invoices and follow documented processes
  • Self-directed and gritty – you thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where you can go find the answer, make things better and troubleshoot challenges
  • An expert with MS Excel and experienced with exporting and manipulating data in Excel including complex formulas, multi-tab spreadsheets, pivot tables, v-lookups
  • Able to work 100% in office (start and stop time is flexible)

Payroll Coordinator– You Might Have:

  • Experience working with SAP Business One ERP software
  • Experience with Paylocity or other third-party payroll processing software
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing or retail industry
