Restaurant Host

Job Summary:
The Restaurant Host at Galaxy Restaurant will be responsible for creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for guests, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and assisting in overall guest service. This individual will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests at Galaxy Restaurant.  

Compensation & Benefits:
This is a part-time, hourly position. The compensation for this position ranges from $11 to $13 per hour, paid biweekly. Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, provide menus and direct them to their tables
- Manage reservations and waitlists, ensuring an efficient flow of guests in the restaurant
- Assist servers in setting and clearing tables, as well as refilling drinks and delivering food items
- Answer phone calls, take messages, and answer guest inquiries in a polite and professional manner
- Communicate any special requests or concerns from guests to the appropriate staff members
- Maintain a neat and clean lobby and dining area, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere for guests
- Collaborate with management to resolve any guest disputes or complaints
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience in customer service or hospitality
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Proficient in basic math and computer skills
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time and lift up to 20 pounds
- Flexible schedule, including availability to work evenings and weekends
