Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Purpose
The Floating Teacher is a member of the classroom team who helps plan and initiate meaningful learning activities for Head Start children ages 3-5 years. Responsibilities include promoting the social, emotional, intellectual, language and physical development of each child in a safe and supervising educational environment. The Floating Teacher may assist the Lead Teacher with developing classroom curriculum. Floating Teachers are assigned to a classroom as needed and the assignment changes according to the need. Individual must be willing to travel between facilities to provide assistance as requested. This is a 10-month position (August - June).
