HireDirect is currently interviewing candidates for Production Leads to join a stable, growing company with a positive work environment in Ponca City, Oklahoma. These positions are Direct Hire with opportunity for growth, overtime, and positive safe work environment. As a Production Lead you will assist the Production Supervisor with scheduling, coordinating daily activities, relief duties, new employee training, and data collection and verification, and overseeing production activities.

Hourly Pay Rate:

  • $23.00 with up to 13% yearly bonus potential

Work Schedule:

  • 5 days on with 2 days off day with flexibility to work as needed.

Shifts available.

  • 2nd shift

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Actively involved in the attainment of all operational goals to provide the best possible conversion cost to our customers.
  • Oversee the application of all quality goals to ensure product quality and food safety standards are met to reduce/eliminate risk to the organization.
  • Work hand in hand with the safety department to identify and evaluate potential risks and ensure the protection of the employees and other individuals while minimizing the organization's exposure to loss and liability.
  • Assist with employee training and building overall line depth.
  • Moderate supervisory responsibilities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Education/Skills:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed. The job will require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic amounts of time throughout the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. May include lifting to 50 lbs. for finished cases, files, and computer printouts on occasion.
  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Primary environment: refrigerated room temperatures, lighting and traditional processing equipment as found in a typical production environment.
