Job DescriptionJob DescriptionSalary:

This position will work directly with our design team, project coordinators, and third parties to purchase building materials and collaborate on take-off documents aligned with company standards. The candidate will work efficiently to move projects through to completion, adhering to stated customer expectations.

 

*This position is required to be on-site in Damascus, OR.

 

Tasks:

  • Order all approved purchases and evaluate all deals adhering to strict profit margins.
  • Communicate directly with builders on current conditions and on all changes.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for purchasing, streamline purchasing processes, analyze profit margins on orders and increase profitability.
  • Negotiate prices including seeking out discounts and bulk orders when able.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with industry partners while cutting costs.
  • Assist Project Coordinators, Designers, and Production departments on a daily basis.
  • Provide accurate and timely processing of daily and monthly reports, noting trends and dissecting pain points.
  • Create and maintain pricing libraries for vendors.
  • Help manage and analyze timely take-offs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Knowledge of industry vendors and our competitors
  • 2-3+ years estimating or purchasing in the residential or commercial construction field
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment
  • Technology skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Timber frame/construction experience a plus
  • Proficiency in StruCalc and BlueBeam desired but not required
  • Expert communication skills in person, on paper and electronically
  • Demonstrated high character
