Lift Mechanic

SUMMARY:

A Mechanic, or Licensed Mechanic, is responsible for investigating problems with our lifts and making repairs accordingly. All work done on lifts needs to be recorded and dated. Their duties include communicating with management to discuss their concerns, carrying out routine maintenance procedures on motor vehicles and replacing parts on motor vehicles to promote their functionality. This person may also have to work with our insurance and government agencies for licensing our lifts.


MECHANIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assess lifts/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues
  • Liaise for management to determine lift requirements and communicate lift defects or problems
  • Provide routine inspections of lifts and inform management of any issues
  • Prepare work estimates as requested
  • Keep an accurate log of all work performed
  • Maintain and clean garage equipment and tools to ensure they are kept in a safe and usable condition at all times
  • Adhere to company work safety policies

MECHANIC EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School diploma and an associate degree in mechanic technology or similar
  • Helpful but not required, any lift certifcates
