Job DescriptionJob DescriptionNIVALMI Consulting has been retained by Singer Equipment Company, to recruit for a VP of Accounting role. This is a unique and challenging opportunity for an inspiring, strategic, and transformative leader to serve as a VP of Accounting to oversee the entire accounting operations.

We're seeking a dynamic and experienced VP of Accounting to lead and enhance our financial performance while directing accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Financial Operations: Manage accounting records, evaluate risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and publish financial statements.
  • Team Supervision: Oversee a talented team handling financial reporting, budgeting and accounting tasks.
  • Financial Planning: Coordinate and direct financial planning and investment activities to support organizational goals.
  • Policy and Process Development: Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and SOP's to ensure efficient financial management.
  • Strategic Guidance: Provide direction to management on short- and long-term financial objectives, policies and actions.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze past, present, and expected operations to identify opportunities for improvement and development.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with external stakeholders such as banking and insurance personnel to facilitate financial activities.
Requirements:
  • Education: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in public accounting or relevant industry positions; CPA required. The ideal candidate will have experience managing finances for similar size companies.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving abilities, proven project management skills, and advanced proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office programs.
