Position Overview:
The Receiving Associate is a vital member of the supply chain team, primarily responsible for the efficient, accurate, and timely receiving of goods. This role involves coordinating with delivery drivers, conducting thorough audits of received goods, managing inventory labeling, and ensuring the prompt entry of purchase orders into the inventory management system(IQMS). The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently.t.

Key Responsibilities:

Efficient Unloading and Auditing:

  • Ensure that deliveries are received and audited in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Minimize wait time for individuals delivering goods by providing clear instructions and support during the unloading process.
  • Conduct quick yet thorough audits of received goods to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Accurate Labeling and Preparation of Goods:

  • Attach inventory labels accurately to received goods as per the established labeling system.
  • Ensure that received goods are promptly and correctly prepared for the next stage of the supply chain process.
  • Coordinate the efficient movement of materials from the receiving area to the shop floor, ensuring minimal delays.

Prompt Entry of Purchase Orders:

  • Ensure that purchase orders (PO’s) are received into the IQMS system promptly and accurately.
  • Scan shipping documents into the shared folder immediately upon receipt.
  • Communicate any discrepancies or inaccuracies with received goods to the purchaser in a timely manner.
  • Enter PO’s into PO Receipts in the IQMS system, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role within a logistics or supply chain environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently when required.
