General Summary:

STS Truck Services is a family owned company located in Blair NE that has been operating for over 15 years and has been recognized as the truck service experts by HDA Truck Pride.

We're looking for professional, safety minded individuals to troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, transmissions, cooling systems, chassis, brakes, and other various components found on all heavy duty truck makes and models.

The Service Technician will primarily be responsible for diagnostics of trucks, and trailers, utilizing computer diagnostic equipment if needed for the safe and efficient repair and maintenance of company and/or customer equipment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintenance of company equipment, trucks and trailers. Ability to follow set maintenance schedules to assist with mandatory DOT compliance.
  • Proficient in all mechanical process, ability to be certified in brakes, tires and other facets deemed necessary by DOT.
  • Diagnose, repair and overhaul all major chassis components including brakes, exhaust, front end, shocks, struts, electrical, transmissions, all engine repairs and after treatment systems.
  • Skilled in the use of automotive/diesel diagnostic tools and equipment including computers and handheld devices and alignment machine.
  • The ability read and understand technical manuals and wiring diagrams and to keep accurate records
  • Repair of any damaged item on tractor/ trailers including welding and perform routine maintenance such as oil changes etc.
  • Other related duties as may be assigned

Other Preferred Experience:

  • 2 years of field experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Class A CDL a plus
  • Prefer certification in areas of preventative maintenance, air brakes, pre-mounted tire and wheel, A/C Refrigeration, clutch systems, lighting system and electrical accessories, diagnostic systems, cooling systems, fuel systems and after treatment maintenance.
