Compensation: Based on experience (not less than $100,000)

Job Description:

A well-established private cardiology practice in Utica, NY, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Cardiology Physician Assistant to join their team. They are committed to providing exceptional cardiovascular care and are looking for a professional who shares passion for patient-focused treatment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a single office setting, free from the demands of satellite locations, hospital rounds, weekends, or holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including patient histories, physical exams, and diagnostic tests.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions in collaboration with cardiologists.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including prescribing medications and recommending lifestyle modifications.
  • Educate patients and their families on cardiovascular health, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  • Be available for phone on-call consultations for practice patients only.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies.
  • Valid Physician Assistant license to practice in the state of New York.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiology or a related field preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
  • New Graduates, and experienced candidates with an interest in cardiology are welcome to apply.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, standard office hours.
  • No weekends, holidays, or hospital rounds.
  • Phone on-call for practice patients only.
