Housekeeper (HK-WNY-JS-04)

Schedule:Live-out, Full-time, Monday - Friday

9 am 5 pm (40 hrs. a week)

Salary: $40/hr. - $45/hr. plus Health Insurance and benefits

Location:Watermill, NY

Overview:

A client is looking for a full-time live-out Housekeeper responsible for providing the highest level of service to the principals, family, and guests with minimal interruption while maintaining an organized, clean, inviting, and cozy atmosphere.

May need to travel 2 weeks to a secondary work location in New York City when the principals are in town.

Job Requirements

Full-service housekeeping, including but not limited to:

Perform the Housekeeping Standard Operating Procedures

Daily cleaning and scheduled deep cleaning

Report to the Chief of Staff cleaning products, bathroom toiletries, and specialty items (i.e. flowers, candles, etc.) to be purchased

Washing, ironing, and/or steaming household laundry and organization of household laundry, which involves folding, hanging, and placing it in the appropriate places

Packing and unpacking as well as ensuring all items are clean and prepared for travel

Broad knowledge of caring for fine fabrics, linens, and clothing as well as various surfaces

Work with limited supervision which may mean working autonomously most of the time

Take responsibility for solving basic day-to-day problems that arise and escalate issues, as appropriate, to the Chief of Staff

Reporting any maintenance issues to the Chief of Staff, promptly

Ensure health, safety, security, and hygiene standards are maintained

Exhibit standard of behavior acceptable to the principals and any variations to routines

Clean appearance, organized and efficient

Good communicator

Generally, knows what to do, requires minimal direction, and is open to feedback

Can adjust to and accommodate changing circumstances

Requirements

5+ years experience

Excellent, stable work history and references

Drivers license

Previous experience working in a private household

High attention to detail, good attitude, high energy, strong work ethic, time management, high level of discretion and confidentiality

Reliable transportation

Willing to wear a uniform
