Systems Technology & Research, Inc. is currently seeking a Acquisition Planning SME to support an Army Aviation Project Office on Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. Candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with acquisition pathway policies and procedures, advising on best practices, and assisting in the successful execution of rapid prototyping and rapid fielding efforts. Candidate must have a deep understanding of DoD acquisition processes, particularly the Middle Tier of Acquisition pathway, and requires excellent communication and organizational skills.


Job Duties:

  • Serve as an acquisition strategic planner and senior advisor responsible for coordinating and collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Provide SME level program management, acquisition oversight and acquisition systems management of weapon systems and capabilities.
  • Provide SME to acquisition strategy development utilizing multiple DoD acquisition pathways to include Major Capability Acquisition, Middle Tier of Acquisition, Software Acquisition, and Urgent Capability Acquisition.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with MTA policies and procedures, advising on best practices, and assisting in the successful execution of rapid prototyping and rapid fielding efforts.
  • Support development of various acquisition milestone documents and completion of various acquisition reports.
  • Support rapid delivery of critical capabilities and technologies.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree with twelve (12) years' experience.
  • Previous experience in a US Army Project or Product Office providing high level support throughout the acquisition lifecycle, including budget planning and integrated master scheduling.
  • Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and the ability to work independently are required.
  • Experience in either a DoD Program Office or equivalent commercial setting is preferred.
  • Active DOD Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain one.
