Seatown Electric, Plumbing, Heating, and Air is seeking a Plumbing Safety Inspection Trainee to join our team at our Seattle, WA location. This is an entry-level, hourly, non-exempt, at-will position. The candidate must be available to work full shifts plus overtime.

10 weeks of paid training. During training, you will learn:

Train with experienced Plumbers in the field, learn hands-on skills, and master the art of communicating with customers.

Responsibilities:

After training, you will be able to:

Visit customer homes and evaluate needs and promote products and services. Perform a 27-point inspection of plumbing systems, checking for any current or potential leaks. Ensure plumbing appliances are in good working condition. Present findings to customer and educate them on the systems in their home. Answer customers' questions about products and services. Complete detailed written report of inspection for each visited customer. Make recommendations to address any variances to the normal and safe operation of plumbing and sewer systems. Collect payment for work performed or provide documentation to assist with customer financing. Maintain adequate equipment inventory to complete all assigned work.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Some customer service and/or sales experience is helpful.
  • Ability to work with hands.
  • Self-motivated, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license with minimal infractions.
  • Able to successfully complete and pass required pre-employment screenings.

Work Conditions:

  • Work independently with little supervision, complete tasks and assignments.
  • Work is performed in residential properties (attic, garage, crawl space, roof)
  • Frequent standing, squatting, sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Moderate exposure to physical risk.
  • Occasionally required to ascend/descend ladders and balance.
